Tembec’s Spruce Falls mill will be receiving an honourable mention in this year’s edition of Natural Resources Canada’s Energy Efficiency Awards for its successful implementation of energy-efficiency measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The mill was selected in the Industry, Comprehensive Projects Large Energy Users category. Through the reduction of its heating costs, the mill was able to eliminate nearly 6,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.
