Three workers were killed and another injured in a paper mill storage tank explosion on August 5 at Packaging Corporation of America’s facility in Tomahawk, WI.
According to a report by the StarTribune, the three individuals who lost their lives were undertaking routine maintenance work on top of a recycled fibre storage tank when it exploded. The survivor was standing on a platform on a lower level of the tank, the report confirmed. Roughly ten people were working in the vicinity when the explosion took place.
The identities of the victims have not been released, and the cause of the explosion is being investigated.
