Thunder Bay Fine Papers is under fire from suppliers claiming the company hasn’t paid its bills. According to a recent report by the ChronicleJournal, the company is now facing lawsuits launched by suppliers who want their money.

EKT 90, a company that supplies and installs industrial equipment, filed the largest bill, according to the report, with the Ontario Superior Court. EKT claims it is owed $1.2 million for equipment, materials and labour that were supplied to Thunder Bay Fine Papers from the end of January until August.

Fairbarns Machine Shop, Peterson Electrics, Sacchetti Construction and Dynamic Painting have also filed claims. The ChronicleJournal further reported that Thunder Bay Papers has yet to file a statement of defence, and the allegations have note been proven in court. However, the supplier companies are each requesting for a lien to be placed on Thunder Bay Fine Papers property.
