TimberWest has reached an agreement with the province of British Columbia. The company is seeking compensation for the loss of its logging rights through the timber reallocation process. TimberWest will receive roughly $3.7 million as indemnity. In turn, the area of the Tree Farm License and two timber licenses held by the company will be reduced by the province and instead made available to community forests, woodlots, First Nations and new entrepreneurs.
