
There may be hope for the Tolko pulp and paper mill in The Pas, Man. Tolko Industries confirmed on Sept. 27 that it has a signed letter of intent from a potential buyer for the mill that is scheduled to close on Dec. 2.
Jim Baskerville, Tolko’s vice-president, told the Winnipeg Free Press that there has been interest from several buyers, and one has signed a letter of intent. He emphasized this is not a guarantee of a sale, but it is a first step.
