The beginning of the summer will prove a challenge for 340 people in New Brunswick, as Fraser Paper temporarily shuts down two of its sawmills in the province.

Citing prostrated market conditions, Fraser will impose a two-week operational hiatus on its Plaster Rock and Juniper sawmills. The company anticipates the shutdowns will only last 14 days, but the market will have the final say on the duration.
