The University of British Columbia is inviting applications for the Mercer International Industrial Research Chair in Advanced Engineering for the Forest-Products Based Bio-Economy. This is a leadership position that will focus on establishing technological breakthroughs and educational advances in the field of forest-fibre based bioproducts.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a closely related field, and have a strong commitment to high quality teaching. As well, the candidate must have the skills and background to build an independent research program of international caliber.
