Veracel Celulose S.A. has awarded Invensys Systems Brazil an automation contract worth several million dollars. The agreement will commit Invensys to supply Foxboro I/A Series automation systems, process control applications and associated services to Veracel’s bleached eucalyptus pulp mill currently being constructed in Eunapolis in the state of Bahia, Brazil.
Veracel, a joint venture between Aracruz Celulose S.A. of Brazil and Scandinavian-based Stora Enso Oyj, will be the largest single-line mill of its kind in the world. It is scheduled for production by mid 2005.
