Voith launches headbox service and spares program

Voith is offering a service and spare parts program to help maintain optimum cross profiles over the lifecycle of a headbox.

Within the Servolution equipment service, Voith offers professional headbox servicing and original spare parts both on demand and preventatively through service agreements.

At regular intervals, the bottom lip, top lip and separate wedge will be checked and replaced when needed. Voith’s MasterJet Pro headbox design allows the bottom lip to be exchanged and sent to Voith for in-house refurbishment. The company uses inserts made of polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) material, which has an extended durability of 50 per cent over other materials and a higher chemical resistance.

During a headbox service, Voith experts inspect the complete headbox area for deposits, damage and wear. In several cases, web breaks can be reduced by up to 80 per cent.
