The CBC reported that a composting company is planning to turn pulp and paper waste into lawn and garden products at a new plant near Saint-John, employing approximately 20 people.
The report indicated the Fredericton company Envirem will announce the project next week, which will provide much-needed jobs in the rural community of Welsford, near Saint John. According to the CBC, Envirem will run the site and will lease land from J.D. Irving Ltd, which will send waste from tis mills at Lake Utopia and thee Reversing Falls for disposal.

The project has already been approved by provincial environmental officials.
