Kemira and Valmet partner in Europe for water and sludge treatment

January 22, 2019 – Kemira and Valmet have signed a partnership agreement in Europe for collaboration in the water and sludge treatment in customer applications across the industrial and municipal spaces.

The agreement aims to combine Kemira’s chemistry and smart process optimization expertise with Valmet’s analyzer and measurement technology know-how, as well as on-site service network.

“We are actively expanding our portfolio of smart chemistry through the KemConnect platform for e.g. sludge dewatering and phosphorus treatment,” says Jussi Ruotsalainen, application development manager at Kemira. “For the customer, these digitalized solutions bring significant efficiency improvements by increasing visibility over the water treatment process and enabling predictive and proactive process management based on real-time data.”
