A wildfire burning near the idled pulp mill in Prince Albert, Sask. has caused the city to call a state of emergency.
CBC reports that an evacuation order was implemented on May 17 for some nearby residents after the fire broke out that afternoon, fuelled by high winds.
It was the second wildfire in the area in as many days. Local news site paNOW reports that a different fire, possibly caused by lightning, started May 15 but had been put out by that day’s end.
