Wireless Monitoring Pairs With Energy Management Software

Cypress Envirosystems and Invensys Operations Management have formed a technology alliance to ensure seamless interoperability between Cypress Envirosystems’ wireless monitoring and control solutions and a wide range of Wonderware® software solutions, including the corporate energy management application.

The alliance with Invensys includes Cypress Envirosystems’ Wireless Gauge Reader, the Wireless Steam Trap Monitor, the Wireless Transducer Reader and the Wireless Pneumatic Thermostat.

The energy management application checks consumption and demand at main and sub meters operating a wide range of power generation methods, including power, water, gas, air and steam. Alarms detect when demand limits are exceeded with visualization of alarms provided by InTouch software.

This application also connects directly to meters through automation systems and building information networks, as well as accepts manual entry.
