THUNDER BAY, ON — The Midwest Branch of PAPTAC is issuing a call for papers for its 55th Annual Meeting on September 26 to 28 at the Valhalla Inn in Thunder Bay, ON. Session topics will include technical innovation, value-added product development and marketplace trends. Especially encouraged are papers centred on system closure, air emission and solid waste management, employee training and energy use. More than 350 mill participants and 55 exhibitors gathered at last year’s event. The 2001 conference will include 21/2-days of sessions, a presidents’ panel and a session on general business management. It will conclude with a golf tournament featuring prizes, and the presentation of awards for best paper and exhibitor booth.
