Fraser Paper’s Edmunston mill is set to get an $8 million facelift. According to a report by the Telegraph-Journal, the company will spend $5.3 million to refurbish the recovery boiler and an additional $2.8 million on major maintenance projects.

“When you’re spending $8 million, that is a major investment,” the Telegraph reported Guy Moisan, human resources manager at the mill as saying. “This is a very different story from what you’re hearing.”

Next June, the facility will take a two-week operational hiatus in order to accommodate the upgrades.
