Dec. 12, 2017 – Green Bay Packaging (GBP) has announced that it is in the first phase of evaluating construction of a new recycled containerboard machine at its location in Green Bay Wisconsin.
The 220-inch machine is estimated to be operational in 2020 and would replace the company’s existing 164-inch trim machine, originally constructed in 1950. According to the company, the investment would increase GBP’s recycled containerboard capacity by more than 70 per cent.
Established in 1933, Green Bay Packaging is a family-owned, vertically integrated company consisting of corrugated container plants, folding cartons, recycled and virgin linerboard mills, pressure-sensitive label roll stock, specialty converting operations, timberlands, and a sawmill facility.
