Germany -UPM Kymmene is expanding its wood plastic composite production by building a new mill in Karlsruhe, Germany. The company is constructing the facility in order to respond to market growth and increasing demand for wood plastic composite in Central Europe. The mill is expected to start up by the end of 2008, and will employ roughly 50 people. The total investment cost was 12 million euros.
