Forestweb reports that worldwide pulp markets remain firm and that supply and demand are “well enough balanced” to encourage producers to consider price increases. Although there were no price-increase announcements set for March, “there are hints” that bleached eucalyptus kraft (BEK) pulp could bump up by about $20 a tonne soon, on top of BEK enjoying a successful $20/$30-tonne hike in February.
