Rayonier temporarily cuts down pulp and paperboard production at Temiscaming

October 10, 2023  By P&PC Staff

Rayonier Advanced Materials has announced that it is temporarily idling the paperboard operation and one of its high-yield pulp lines at its Temiscaming mill in Quebec. The curtailment will be in place for three weeks, beginning on October 7.

According to a press statement from the company, this step is being taken to optimize inventory levels and address lower-than-anticipated demand.

The company noted in its statement that customer orders will not be affected.
