Scott moves up to president and CEO of Nexterra

Mike Scott has been promoted to the role of president and CEO of Nexterra Systems Corp., replacing Jonathan Rhone, founder, president and CEO of the bioenergy system provider.

Mike Scott has been promoted to the role of president and CEO of Nexterra Systems Corp., replacing Jonathan Rhone, founder, president and CEO of the bioenergy system provider.

“We’d like to thank Jonathan for his vision, years of hard work and dedication in building Nexterra while creating a solid foundation for future growth,” said Nexterra chairman of the board, Brian Boulanger.

“We believe there are tremendous opportunities to expand on the range of biomass feedstocks Nexterra’s gasification technology can process as well as opportunities to leverage the “green gas” expertise the company has developed with its gasification-to-internal combustion engine program,” Boulanger noted.

Scott has had a distinguished 20 year career as a senior executive and lawyer. As senior vice-president of corporate development at Nexterra, he was involved in all of the company’s major transactions and initiatives.
