Valmet to supply Belgian mill with cooking plant
June 6, 2018 – A batch cooking plant for Burgo Ardennes' pulp mill in Virton, Belgium will be supplied by Valmet with a start-up date planned for early 2020.

“The new cooking plant will improve pulp characteristics and utilize wood raw material in a more efficient way,” Michel Hartman, mill manager at Burgo Ardennes mill in Virton, said. “Additionally, we will improve local environment around the mill – mainly the odour – and reduce the energy consumption within the process area.”
“Valmet continues to bring valuable solutions to our pulp customers,” Patrik Lidbäck, sales manager, Pulp and Energy Valmet, said. “This delivery shows once again the strength of our cooking technology portfolio.”
