MONTREAL, QC — Buckman Laboratories has acquired Eclipse Chemical Company Inc., a full-service water treatment company, thus creating the third-largest company of its kind in Canada. In the deal, Eclipse’s product line, as well as its employees will be folded into Buckman. Steven B. Buckman, chief executive officer, said the deal fits two operations with similar corporate cultures. “We anticipate an extremely smooth integration with a positive impact for our present and future customers.” The company targets such markets as chemical and metal processing, food processing and pulp and paper. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
