Cascades ups cardboard box donations to help non-profits

December 11, 2020  By P&PC Staff

Cascades has tripled its annual donation of cardboard boxes this year, distributing more than 150,000 boxes throughout 2020 to non-profit organizations.

The company has targeted about 100 organizations that offer support, such as emergency food assistance, to vulnerable populations dealing with the effects of COVID-19.

The boxes are used for transport of goods, storage and delivery of food supplies.

“Cascades has always been committed to helping and being involved in the communities where we do business,” says Mario Plourde, president and chief executive officer of Cascades. The difficult times we are all experiencing have only made this commitment more important.”

La Tablée des Chefs is one organization that receives box donations from Cascades, and has provided over two million meals for families in need this year.

Cascades will provide additional boxes throughout the food drive season.
