Call for papers: PaperWeek Canada and Forest Biorefinery Symposium

Mill personnel, suppliers, researchers and experts are encouraged to submit their latest work for presentation in the technical program at PaperWeek Canada, the major Canadian gathering for the advancement of the pulp and paper industry.

The event takes place February 4-8, in Montreal.

Abstracts are requested on the following topics: advanced controls, maintenance, bleaching, mechanical pulping, emerging research, paperboard packaging, energy cost saving, paper machine technology and performance, fibre supply and biomass, waster and sludge management, biorefining, water management, green chemistry.

Abstracts should be submitted to PAPTAC at paperweek@paptac.ca by Sept. 3.

The Third International Biorefinery Symposium will run concurrent with PaperWeek Canada, and is also requesting abstracts. Interested parties are invited to submit abstracts by Sept. 3, to m.marinova@polymtl.ca.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: forest biomass resources, supply chain design and management, biorefining technologies, biomass-based products, bioproducts and markets, energy efficiency and sustainability, and integration of biorefining into pulp and paper mills.
