Kemira’s Raymond Paquet succeeds Paprican’s Daniel Ouellet as PAPTAC’s Mechanical Pulping Committee chairman for 2003. Paquet was the vice-chairman since 2001.

Kimberly-Clark Corp. CEO Thomas J. Falk was elected chairman of the company’s board of directors. Falk succeeds Wayne R. Sanders, who retired in February 2003.

Metso Corporation’s board of directors has appointed Bertel Karlstedt as president of Metso’s fiber and paper technology business area, Metso Paper. He replaces Juhani Pakkala who will retire on July 31, 2003 but will remain a member of Metso Paper’s board of directors.

The board of directors of Mets Tissue Corporation has appointed Mikko Helander as president and CEO effective August 2003.

Invensys names Amy Burns as VP marketing, Manufacturing and Process Solutions, while Ryan Roberts was appointed VP and general manager of services. The unit includes product brands such as Avantis, Eurotherm, Foxboro, I/A Series, SimSci-Esscor, and Triconex.

Forest and Marine Financial Group announced the following executive appointments effective immediately: Paul T. Clough – CEO; John L. Hitchcock – chaiman emeritus; and David R. Hitchcock – chief operating officer.

NSK Canada Inc. appointed William A. Childers as president and chief operating officer for NSK Canada. He will succeed Terry Quinn, who retired in January 2003.

Weyerhaeuser announced that Bill Baird will become vice president, Newsprint and Bleached Board, effective March 3. Baird, 55, will replace Charles E. Carpenter, 64, when he reaches mandatory retirement age in April.#text2#
