OTTAWA, ON — ThermoShare Inc., is looking for energy, steam and steam power specialists and firms to make up a national association to promote cogeneration. COGEN-Canada will parallel COGEN Europe, EUROHEAT & POWER, the United States Combined Heat and Power Association and the UK Combined Heat and Power Association. The proposed organization will co-operate with all governments, Canadian Electricity Association, The Canadian Gas Association, the Industrial User’s Association, the Canadian District Energy Association (CDEA) and other entities promoting combined heat and power. COGEN-Canada will advocate stronger financial incentives applicable to more projects, promote training and interchange of knowledge about cogeneration and technology development, publicize cogeneration’s environmental benefits, and promote some form of recognition such as eco-labeling for products produced with process heat from cogeneration systems.
