Trois Rivieres, QC — Kadant Johnson has wrapped up a multi-year optimization project to develop a high-efficiency thermocompressor. The project involves advances to the thermocompressor that minimize consumption of high-pressure motive steam, and optimizes flow characteristics. The thermocompressor is used to recompress low-pressure steam and discharge it at a higher pressure. It has allowed Kadant customers to slash steam consumption by up to 25%.
