Resolute receives top ranking in its category on sustainability assessment

Resolute Forest Products recently shared that it was placed in the top quintile (top 20 percent) in the Paper and Forest Products Industry category of the 2023 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA).

The company ranked in the 87th percentile among 70 companies assessed in the industry peer group.

Resolute shared the following highlights from its results:

  • Top position overall for sustainable forestry practices and water risk assessments;
  • 96th percentile in corporate governance and customer relationship management;
  • 91st percentile for social impacts on communities;
  • 87th percentile for the company’s climate strategy, talent attraction/retention and risk and crisis management.

Resolute explains in its press statement that the S&P Global CSA is a sustainability benchmark, annually evaluating thousands of companies on their environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices. Participation in independent assessments like the CSA helps Resolute understand the impact of its sustainability efforts and demonstrates its ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability and continuous improvement.
