New York-Wasau Paper is investing $15 million in its Wiscon sin mill to upgrade its fibre handling and stock blending systems, Associated Press has reported.

New York-Wasau Paper is investing $15 million in its Wiscon sin mill to upgrade its fibre handling and stock blending systems, Associated Press has reported.

By the end of the year, the Brokaw, WI, facility will have an automated pulp-bale handling system in place, while the rest of the system is scheduled to start up in the second quarter of 2009.

Tembec cited the fall in the number of US housing starts, the Canadian dollar and high energy and wood costs as reasons for the decision.
