A boost in its water treatment business is helping to compensate for a drop in GL&V’s pulp and paper division. The company is anticipating substantial increases in it water-treatment sector as cities in North America and Europe are compelled to replace aging water infrastructures. Although the enterprise is pleased with developments in its water treatment sector, Bill Mahoney, manager of the pulp and paper division confirmed there is hope on that front as well

According to Mahoney, the unit is starting to recover and first-quarter sales are up 6%. With investments stagnant in North America, the company is moving to new pulp and paper markets like China, India and Russia. Mahoney also confirmed GL&V recently signed a $10 million contract in Russia, however this hasn’t yet been announced pending funding.
