Kemira anounces price increases for all pulp and paper product lines in the Americas

Kemira recently announced that it is increasing prices for all its product lines in pulp and paper in the Americas region. The increase is effective from March 15.

The company explained in a statement that the costs for all main raw materials, energy (direct and indirect), packaging materials and freight have gone up extensively in recent months and they continue to increase.

Therefore, significant price increases in the range of 15 percent to 30 percent are necessary. These changes are effective immediately or as contract terms allow.

Kemira also noted that it is closely monitoring further potential disruptions of the global supply chain due to the current geopolitical environment and actions are ongoing to secure supply to its customers.
