Solenis opts for monthly pricing system for all product lines globally

March 28, 2022  By P&PC Staff

Solenis recently announced that effective April 1, it is moving to monthly pricing for all its product lines globally.

In a statement released by the company, Solenis explains that the current global situation has rapidly increased raw material costs. This comes alongside a sharp rise in crude oil prices as the U.S. and U.K. governments have banned Russian oil derivatives. Consequently, Solenis is experiencing unprecedented weekly volatility in its cost to serve its customers.

Solenis also noted that it is focusing its team on mitigating the impact of this situation on its customers’ operations by exhausting every pathway to procure raw materials to support customer demand and avoid runouts. However, these volumes are coming at an extremely high cost which requires the company to temporarily shift to a monthly pricing structure.

Solenis considers this situation temporary. In the meantime, the company will constantly monitor the situation and keep lines of communication open to allow de-escalation of monthly pricing as energy pricing and other raw material feedstocks normalize.
