Neenah Paper is buying up more than 10 million-kilowatt hours of renewable energy. The purchase positions Neenah as one of the largest consumers of green power in the paper industry.

“Our customers appreciate and support responsible stewardship of our natural resources and this purchase will make a difference that will be heard throughout the paper industry,” said Bill O’Connor, president of the company’s paper group.

Neenah plans to buy over 10 million-kilowatt hours of Green-e certified renewable energy every year from We Energies’ Energy for Tomorrow program, which is one of only nine utility renewable energy programs certified as Green-e in the country.
