Weyerhaeuser has announced the retirement of Lee T. Alford, senior vice president of residential wood products, and CraigD. Neeser, senior vice president of industrial wood products international. Both will retire on Oct. 1.

ThomasF. Gideon, executive vice president, forest products, will assume the additional role of leadership of resident wood products. Concurrently, JamesM. Branson, senior vice president, will add industrial wood products and international to his existing responsibilities.

International Paper has named StaceyJ. Mobley to its board of directors.

Pierre Gabriel Ct has been appointed president and chief executive officer of SFK Pulp.

CFO of United Pulp & Paper Company, Tan Geok Kwang, has tendered his resignation. Ong Boon Sim, who is currently the group finance manager, replaces him. CEO Lee Kwok Loon has not renewed his service contract with the company, and Kosh Wan Kai, James, current president, additionally assumed his duties.

Stora Enso has appointed Hannu Kasurinen as head of its wood products unit. Previously the firm’s strategy head, Kasurinen replaces Peter Kickinger.

The company has also made a number of changes to its executive team. As of Oct. 1, Hannu Ryopponen, previously deputy CEO and CFO, handed over his CFO responsibilities to Markus Rauramo, who was previously senior vice president and group treasurer. Ryopponen will retire from the company in the spring of 2009. Christer Agren, country manager for Sweden and responsible for human resources and IT, has left the company and is replaced by Elisabet Salander Bjorklund. She is additionally responsible for Stora’s wood supply, pulp supply and sustainability division.

Changes to regional responsibilities include Mats Nordlander as heading up responsibility for China and the rest of Asia, Veli-Jussi Potka for Russia, and Elisabet Salander Bjorklund for Latin America.
