Tolko Industries will not resume operations in Louis Creek, BC, said the general manager for BC operations, Mike Harkies.
He cited the lack of rail access and natural gas as the main factors for the decision not to reopen the sawmill that was destroyed by the fire two months ago.
More than 180 employees will be affected, and Tolko will spend about $5.5 million in severance.
