Weyerhaeuser has announced the election by the board of directors of Daniel S. Fulton as President to oversee operations and a number of staff functions. He retains his position as president, Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company.

Norbord announced that John Tremayne will step down as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective February 15, 2008.

Mohawk Fine Papers has announced the appointment of the Honourable Claudine Schneider, President of the Solar Alliance, to its Board of Directors.

Orchids Paper announced the addition of several key personnel to its management team. Royce Norton has been appointed Plant Manager for converting operations. Lonnie Harper has been appointed Director of Engineering and Reliability. Don Branson has been named Manager of Reliability Improvement for converting operations. Gary Creekmore has been named Manager of Human Resources for all of staff and operating personnel.

International Paper announced the election of J. Steven Whisler to its board of directors.

Dr. Christoph Mller-Mederer was appointed Chief Executive Officer and General Director of Voith Paper Technology, Russia. He replaces Douglas Miller.

The Board of the Finnish Forest Industries Federation has elected Jussi Pesonen, the President and CEO of UPM, as its chairman for 2008. Kari Jordan, the President and CEO of Metsliitto Group and Aulis Ansaharju, the Senior Vice President Graphic Papers of Stora Enso Corporation, were elected as deputy chairmen.

Bjrn Lindforss has taken over the role as Managing Director of Adforum AB, a joint subsidiary of Stockholm International Fairs and the Finnish Fair Corporation. Adforum arranges two of the world’s leading pulp and paper trade fairs, SPCI in Stockholm and PulPaper in Helsinki. The next event to be held is the SPCI World Pulp & Paper Week at Stockholm International Fairs from 27-29 May 2008.

Sun Chemical announced that Rudi Lenz has joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Nexterra Energy announced that Peter Tertzakian, Chief Energy Economist and Managing Director of ARC Financial Corporation, has joined Nexterra’s Board of Directors.
