Metsä Tissue conducting operational review of tissue paper mill concept
February 25, 2019 – Metsä Tissue, part of the Metsä Group, is developing a concept for the future of the tissue paper mill as part of its overall operational review.

Metsä is working with equipment and automation system suppliers on the concept development, which will include a review of all the operational processes of a tissue paper mill, from raw materials and production to converting, dispatch and warehouse operations.
The review aims to find out whether a new concept could significantly improve product quality, the efficiency of production and the use of resources. In creating the concept, the group will also explore the possibility of building a fully fossil-free mill.
The review will also determine the automation potential in the entire process alongside the current status of mill systems, so a development roadmap can be defined.
